Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager / Tax Director

Salary

$90,000 – $150,000 per year (based on experience)

Role Overview

We are hiring an experienced Tax Manager / Senior Manager / Director to join our leadership team.

This role is ideal for a tax professional who enjoys:

  • Working with small business clients
  • Managing complex tax engagements
  • Leading and mentoring teams
  • Providing advisory beyond compliance

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review tax returns (1120, 1065, 1040, 1041, 990, 5471)
  • Handle multi-state tax filings and planning
  • Provide tax planning and advisory services
  • Manage client relationships and lead meetings
  • Review staff work and mentor junior team members
  • Manage multiple engagements and deadlines
  • Use tools like QuickBooks, UltraTax, Canopy (or similar)

Requirements

  • Strong public accounting experience (small business clients preferred)
  • Expertise in corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns
  • Experience managing clients and leading teams
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects during tax season

Experience

  • 10+ years in public accounting (for senior-level roles)
  • Experience working under US GAAP
  • Comfortable handling complex tax matters and client interactions

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA preferred (not required)
  • Additional tax certifications are a plus

Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • Hybrid (on-site required during peak tax season)
