Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of electrical construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
  • Oversee high-rise construction projects, ensuring coordination with general contractors, subcontractors
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking milestones and deliverables
  • Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Manage project budgets, change orders, and cost controls
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to clients and senior management
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and company standards
  • Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment
  • Mentor and support field staff, foremen, and junior project managers

Qualifications:

  • 5–10 years of experience in electrical construction project management
  • Proven experience managing high-rise or large-scale commercial construction projects $500k - $20M
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction processes, and project management principles
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications
  • Experience with project management software and scheduling tools
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Experience working in the Chicago market
  • Familiarity with local building codes and permitting processes

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple concurrent projects

Pay: $120,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
